There are a number of small dents in the side panels caused by other car doors in supermarket car parks. The rear bumper has a couple of scratches at each corner. The passenger side has a longitudinal scratch that runs across the rear door, but it is not that noticable (it`s been touched up) - it was there when I bought the car and I have not seen any reason to get it done properly. A few other minor scratches.The wheels are 17" alloys - all in reasonable nick, though there are some minor abrasions on the edges and the spokes have a build up of brake dust. The spare wheel is a space saver. The jack and wheel changing tools are present. The tyres will need some attention. The front two are wearing more on the inside and now need replacing. This also suggests that the tracking alignment needs attention now too. The rear tyres are ok - one has about 3-4mm of tread, the other has 5-6mm.All in all, it is in pretty good order, not perfect by any means, but looks great when it is cleaned and waxed.Mechanicals:The D5 engine is one of the best diesel engines out there. It`s been looked after and things that have gone wrong have been fixed. Recently at 192000 miles one of the injectors was replaced, and the important cambelt and water pump was replaced at the service at 187113 miles. There is some vibration at tickover coming from the auxilliary serpentine belt idler/tensioner, indicating that this will need attention at the next service, though it`s not noticable when driving.The front suspension has had a lot of new parts and attention at the last couple of services, so should be good for a long while.The 5-speed Auto gearbox was fully reconditioned at 175226 miles and is now as smooth as when new.The battery was replaced with new last autumn.Service history is complete with main dealers up to 128000 miles, then I have paperwork from independent garage servicing since then, showing what has been done.Realistically, you`d need to spend a bit on the car now to fix the things I`ve mentioned (tyres, wheel alignement, idler/tensioner) then I`m sure it would give you many more thousands of miles of motoring.Bidding:Please only bid if you intend to go through with the transaction.
