it has never broken down and since April 2009 has been my daily driver doing about 450 miles a week. In that period it has averaged about 36mpg, though it does better than that in the summer. Electric windows work, the digital display works bar the occasional flicker. Electric tilting roof works. It has been serviced by a Volvo dealer at all stages up to 150,000 but hasn`t been done since. It just runs really well. It has a full set of Volvo floor mats which are in good condition. It also still has the strange cloth load cover, which I have never used. Things that don`t work: radio does work but the cassette doesn`t. One front daylight driving light does not work, the holder is corroded and I have not found a replacement.There are few chips on the windscreen but have been through MOTs. Last MOT highlighted some suspension wear, light corrosion on chassis and close on emission test. It doesn`t idle smoothly until it has warmed up a bit but this has been the case for some years and services were not able to find anything obviously wrong.One of the round centre plates on the wheel is missing and not all of the heated back window works. Body: both rear wheel arches have some rust, passenger side is worse than drivers (see pictures) and there is one small patch on the drivers door, smaller than a 5p. Other wise there are a few chips especially on the nose as you would expect.The rear hatch leaks a bit in heavy rain. X

this car really flies.It really is a very easy, fun car to drive and I for one am going to miss it.It has a genuine 85k miles and in the time we have owned it I`ve given it two oil and filter changes (one every 5000 miles).And a bottle of engine protector.It starts every time as soon as you turn the key and never runs hot whatever the conditions.New pads were fitted all round and new discs on the back. Rear tires are very good front tires have a few thousand miles in them.This car has a TV history but I have forgotten which series it was used on. I think it may have been My Family. Anyway we got it from the production company and they had done very few miles in the couple of years they owned it.They did however leave a few scars on the bodywork.The boot needs respraying where they removed the spoiler or you could just leave it as it doesn`t leak.There is minor damage to the nearside wheel arch where it has had a slight scrape. These cars often rot on the rear wheel arches and this one just has a small bit of corrosion on the offside arch which I treated when we first aquired the car and needs redoing and some top coat. Again, this is very minor and could just be ignored.Numerous minor scuffs to the bumpers and a small patch where the laquer has come off the bonnet.Please feel free to come and view the car and give it a test drive.You wont be disappointed.Tested to mid april 2011.Taxed till the end of march.Interior is very good but the dash bulbs behind the heater controls need replacing. Radio works but needs the code from a dealer.No central locking.Needs a wash and a hoover.Electric sunroof and electric mirrors work. X

I am using it daily. It uses NO OIL, NO WATER and does not smoke at all. It is taxed and MOT`d until the end of Oct 2010.I am selling because i have purchased a diesel car. For a mechanic this car could be an EXTREMELY cheap purchase. Unfortunately it has no immobilser and the central locking doesn`t work. Slight scratch along nearside doors. Rear arches have been rubbud down and filled. Whilst it runs ok, please note ...This car is sold as SPARES or REPAIR. For someone with a little technical knowledge it would be a steal. car and runs fairly well when in daily use. When not used for a few days however, like now it runs rough until it has cleared through. I think this is just the Carb needs cleaning out/setting up correctly. It has MOT until 10/09/2010 and tax until 30/09/10. I am selling it as I brought it as a stop gap whilst my Alfa was being repaired. That is now complete and my partner has just brought a car so I don`t need a third. The interior is in fairly good condition with the carpets being almost new (they have had rubber mats on them all its life) A couple of things to mention are firstly the fuse box has a problem and has been causing the car too cut out. It is currently being held at the right angle with a cable tie which was done byt the RAC man and in fairness has been fine for 3 months. I just havent got round to putting a new one on. The other day the indicator stalk snapped off so will need a new one. I have put a temporary switch in by the drivers seat for now and it works fine, but will obviously need replacing. The engine shakes a lot but I believe these cars do that anyway. The rear wheels are apparantly space savers and are slightly smaller than the fronts so will need two new rear wheels and tyres. Good Points: Cheap, economical runabout. Low mileage. Interior condition. Reliable when being used (I have broken down once in almost a year and that was for the electrical fault as stated above) No rust underneath the car. Bad Points: Indicator stalk (as described above) Fuse box (as described above) MOT for a week and tax for a month. I havent had the car on a ramp but there is no rust underneath and I would guess it will go through the MOT reasonably easily. Few dents on bodywork and rust patch on front door and bumper, as shown in the pictures. Runs rough when it has been left for a while (as in a few days) Clears through though. The two wheels on the rear were on it when I got it but are apparantly space saver wheels. The fronts are 165/65 R 13 and the rears just 165/13 so that will need sorting. If I think of anything else I will let you know and add pictures. Overall not a bad little car that needs some TLC to get it back to how it should be. and drives through all the gears very well.The brakes are sound and work well.The engine is smooth with no unusual noises.I have had no problems nor do I anticipate any.All the controls work as they should and all the interior switches,lights etc work as they should.The engine bay,although dusty is free of rust.There are no leaks-oil or other fluids.The car has been used as a main everyday car by me until now and was last fully serviced in February. The body work is clean and there are no dents or scratches apart from a very slight scuff on a rear arch.There is however a few small formations of surface rust on the inside of the rear arches as can be seen in the close up photo. The hand brake will need adjusting prior to the next MOT and a front tyre has a very slow puncture-there is a good spare but as it takes so long to go down I have not bothered to change over or repair.All the treads are good. Generally a very tidy well maintained car that should continue to give many years of comfortable driving. Any questions please ask. MOT due in August 2011, so almost 11 months remaining. The car passed its last MOT first time with only a single advisory item `Offside front tyre worn close to the legal limit`. The airbag warning light is also lit on the dashboard - although not an MOT failure, I haven`t had time to fix it. The light came on after the passenger seat was moved suggesting it is the cable to the passenger seat.The car was last serviced by Volvo on 20 August 2010. It was the 96,000 mile service, a major service, including cam belt change. New front discs and pads were fitted. Also there is a new battery (Volvo part). The car comes with a full service history, with the exception of one stamp missing, for the 84,000 mile service. Volvo forgot to stamp the logbook. An invoice for the service is included in the paperwork.The car has: heated seats, alloy wheels, power steering, air conditioning, abs, radio with CD and tape drives, 1.8 litre engine, good fuel economy (I usually get around 38 to 40 mpg according to the travel computer).It is a very nice car.
